As an artist living in the wilds of West Wales, in the fast-paced age of technological advancement and the global race for dominance in Artificial Intelligence (AI) I find myself drawn to move deeper into the physical processes of traditional art mediums. There is even a name for artists such as me: analogue, as opposed (in contrast) to digital artists. The word ‘analogue’ is from the Greek análogon, meaning ‘having a relationship’, and it’s this relationship to the materials I work with that grounds me in my environment and my body.
