This issue’s column was going to be soooo good. A real corker. I had a great idea, all about deadlines, something to do with deadlines, I mean I haven’t quite worked it through, and now there isn’t time, but trust me – it was going to be great.

Not that this isn’t good. Don’t let me put you off reading; this is a fine column. Keep going – you won’t regret it. It’s just not what it could have been. You see, I was interrupted by a real deadline – not just the deadline for this piece-inspired-by-deadlines – but for rewrites of a libretto, the school’s opera I’ve been working on.
