KLEIN’S COALITION

Thanks to Oliver Tickell for a lucid and interesting article about Naomi Klein and her current position [Issue 288]. I wonder if this “grand coalition of movements” that Klein refers to might mean that we have to broaden our focus of campaigning by recognising that all these issues of water pollution, soil impoverishment, climate change, social injustice, ‘free’ trade, and the many other causes mentioned have a common root.

Maybe if we articulated this more as we campaign for a better, more just world, though each of us may home in on a single issue, we would know ourselves ...
