The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and remains the only offshore long-term cetacean-monitoring scheme of its kind in the UK. Its research findings support effective conservation measures and provide scientists and policymakers with crucial data on cetacean distribution patterns in Scottish waters.
