Does the phrase ‘compost toilet’ make you feel squeamish? If so you are not alone. I have found that squirming is still a common reaction to the topic. Many of my most eco-conscious friends – those who grow their own food, cycle or walk rather than drive, and use solar power – still draw the line when it comes to talking about compost toilets.
